A Way Home for Families in Need

Great ideas don’t always take shape in boardrooms. Sometimes, they’re born over coffee with friends. Such is the case when a group of lay leaders from Charlotte’s faith community discussed – over breakfast at their local favorite deli – concerns with family homelessness in our community.

The result of this conversation over bagels is the A Way Home housing endowment, a $26 million public-private partnership that provides rental subsidies and support programs that help homeless and at-risk residents find and stay in safe, affordable housing.

A Way Home is an initiative of the Robinson Center for Civic Leadership, the flagship program of FFTC that addresses key issues in our region.
